Each year, Forbes Magazine names its “30 under 30”—a list of 30 influential young people in each of several industries and fields, across three geographies. And each year, our Firm has claimed at least one alum or colleague on each of the lists. The 2020 lists for the U.S. and Europe were released earlier, with 13 alums included. All in all, 19 alumni were named to the three lists.
The list for Asia was released in April. Here are the alums that are on this year's list:
ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY
Yushiro Kato (TOK 14-17) started CADDi, an online platform that helps companies get bids for plastic parts and other components from a variety of suppliers. So far, the company has 5,000 customers and has raised $10.2 million.
FINANCE & VENTURE CAPITAL
Maxwell Meyer (BEI, HKO 12-15) co-founded Masii.com, a website that helps consumers compare credit cards, car insurance, and personal loan options. More than 500,000 people visit the site each month, which has raised $5 million in funding so far.Yada Piyajomkwan (BAN 14-17), right, co-founded Ajaib, a retail investment platform for millennials in Indonesia that charges zero commissions and has a goal of making it easier to get involved in finance. It's raised more than $2 million.
At Alpha JWC Ventures, Melina Subastian (JAK 14-17) has made a series of major deals, including investing in the coffee chain Kop Kenangan, tech capsule hotel Bobobox, and more. She’s currently leading a team to identify the next Indonesian unicorn.
