A partner in McKinsey’s Chennai office, Ganesh leads the firm’s work in supply chain planning and logistics management in India. He specializes in supply chain planning and logistics transformations across sectors, including auto OEM and component manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, consumer, and agrochemicals.
Ganesh provides direction on network design, inventory optimization, demand forecasting, supply planning, S&OP and control tower enablement in supply chain. He also advises clients on digital warehouse design, supply chain nerve center, advanced planning systems, resilience improvement, and end-to-end AI and gen AI enablement of the supply chain.
In addition to his client work, he serves as sponsor and lead for the global supply chain center of competence, lead for deliver initiatives in Asia, and core faculty of innovation and the learning center in India.

Before joining McKinsey, Ganesh spent over nine years consulting large multinational companies globally in supply chain planning, logistics, and warehousing topics. He has published over 207 research papers in international journals, 15 international books, and ten international patents on the topics of supply chain. Ganesh served as editor on the editorial board for a team of international journals and as a reviewer for over ten renowned international journals.
