Won-Mo is a partner in McKinsey’s Seoul office. After joining McKinsey and working in South Korea, he spent two years in San Franciso before returning to Seoul. In his current role, he primarily serves clients in semiconductors, automotive, and battery and is a core member of McKinsey’s Advanced Industries and Strategy & Corporate Finance Practices in the Asia–Pacific region. He serves clients on a wide range of topics but particularly enjoys work that involves cross-border deals.

His recent client work includes developing the portfolio strategy and investor equity story for leading South Korean conglomerates, and conducting commercial due diligence on various semiconductor assets for both local and global private equity funds. He led post-merger integration efforts for an Asian telco’s acquisition of a European data connectivity provider and a semiconductor manufacturer’s cross-border acquisition of a US target. Additionally, he supported joint venture negotiations for construction equipment manufacturers and conducted cost diagnostics for leading battery companies in the region.
