Leads McKinsey’s North American work on enterprise risk management (ERM), helping our clients maximize the value of risk management. He has particular expertise in consumer technology, financial services, and energy and utilities

Oliver is a partner in McKinsey’s Chicago office and leads our North American ERM efforts. He has a deep interest and expertise in topics related to maximizing the value of risk management, including risk appetite and metrics, data privacy, responsible AI, third-party and vendor risk, and trust and safety. He primarily serves clients in consumer technology, financial services, and utilities.

Examples of Oliver’s recent client work include:

  • supporting a global tech and travel platform in an end-to-end reenvisioning of their trust and safety organization design and core processes
  • supporting a global tech platform in evaluating the integration of vendors into core workflows
  • advising a major financial services organization on responding to enhanced regulatory expectations across ERM topics

Oliver is also responsible for McKinsey’s community and social impact in Chicago, coordinating our support for over 60 local organizations, managing our direct grant program (Chicago Fast Grants), and orchestrating our 10,000+ annual volunteer hours. He is a proud board member of Chicago Scholars and the Civic Consulting Alliance.
